Questa musica è ‘senza radici’ non per mancanza, ma per eccesso di possibilità. Non si lega a una tradizione, perché leappartengono tutte e nessuna: può fondere jazz, rumorismo, frammenti di folklore, elettronica, in un linguaggio che nasce e muore nel hic et nunc. È un’arte del transito, che assomiglia al vento-invisibile ma capace di modellare paesaggi, di portare con sé semi di culture lontane, di trasformarsi senza mai fermarsi. Essere nomadi sonori significa abbandonare il bisogno di controllare il destino della musica. È un invito a fidarsi del viaggio, anche quando la meta è sconosciuta. In questo senso, l’improvvisazione è un atto politico: rifiuta gerarchie, partiture, canoni, per abbracciare un’uguaglianza del momento, dove ogni suono ha diritto di esistere. Come scriveva Cage: “Non abbiamo paura del silenzio. Abbiamo paura di ascoltare”, ascoltate dunque questo Cd senza timore cha Jacques e Maurizio dedicano ad un amico che non c'è più, Alberto Borsari."

This music is ‘rootless’ not for lack, but for excess of possibilities. It is not tied to a tradition, because all and none belong to it: it can blend jazz, noise, fragments of folklore, electronics, in a language that is born and dies in the hic et nunc. It is an art of transit, which resembles the invisible wind but is capable of shaping landscapes, of carrying with it seeds of distant cultures, of transforming itself without ever stopping. Being sonic nomads means abandoning the need to control the destiny of music. It is an invitation to trust the journey, even when the destination is unknown. In this sense, improvisation is a political act: it rejects hierarchies, scores, canons, to embrace an equality of the moment, where every sound has the right to exist. As Cage wrote: “We are not afraid of silence. We are afraid of listening”, so listen without fear to this CD that Jacques and Maurizio dedicate to a friend who is no longer with us, Alberto Borsari."
