Nel maggio 2005 questa formazione ha tenuto un tour londinese che li porta anche sul palco dell’Alternative Sonar Event, insieme al trombettista Andy Diagram (già con David Thomas) ed organizzato dal DIN-Collective (www.din-collective.co.uk). La registrazione di questo live di musica elettronica totalmente improvvisata - prossima all'estetica minimal techno - è stata realizzata presso gli studi della storica radio sperimentale Resonance 104.4fm, gestita dal London Musicians’ Collective e trasmessa in diretta via internet attraverso il sito www.resonancefm.com. Il chitarrista sperimentale Gareth Mitchell ha contribuito a rendere il suono ancor più minimale e ipnotico rispetto al primo disco, Live in Turin ’04 (vedi SM790).

Free improvised electronic quartet music. Minimal techno recorded live at Resonance 104.4 FM, London, on 20th May, 2005. Rediffusion are a live laptop duo from London. Their deep electronic dub converges minimal techno with abstract roots and intricate soundscapes. The live shows are improvised and often involve collaborations with other instrumentalists. Recent guests have included trumpeter Andy Diagram (Two Pale Boys), flautist Marianne Antonis (Sweet Thing), e. guitarist Gareth Mitchell (Philosopher Stone, AMP), italian drummer Stefano Giust and Karnatak vocalist Shiuli Subaya. The duo completed a tour of Europe in summer 2004 and joined forces with Stefano Giust, free-jazz drummer and head of respected leftfield Italian record label Setola di Maiala, for a series of live experiments. To experience Rediffusion live is to be cocooned, startled and recycled in an aural mélange of sweeping electro, undercurrent dub, and techno minutiae - with visuals to impact. Rediffusion are Karen O'Brien and Andrej Bako, both Londoners with longstanding production, promotion and DJing backgrounds. Karen and Andrej are both attending the Music tutor training Course between 2003/05. Karen is currently teaching for CM.
